I was honored to be elected as your mayor in 2012 after serving as vice-mayor for one term. Some wondered how my life as a mom and a teacher could have prepared me to take on the role. Well, it turns out it's actually pretty striking how relevant that experience has been for the job!

Serving as your mayor is an amazing experience and I'm grateful for the opportunity. No two days are the same and I never know what incredible things are right around the corner! The best part about being mayor is meeting great people in town, and that every decision helps make Herndon a welcoming and prosperous hometown for everyone. Here are some of my favorite moments from the past few years!
